Habilitation
Services
Adults with mental retardation are provided productive day
care activities, including work and skill development
opportunities to achieve greater independence.
|
Eligibility
Open to individuals who live with their families, skill
sponsors, community residences, or other settings.
Individuals must have mental retardation
DDD referral required.

Ages Served
21 years and older
|

Description
Approximately 170 adults with mental retardation
receive individual support to
achieve productive day
activity in facilities across Morris County, including
Convent Station,
Dover, Flanders, and Hanover.
20 additional consumers receive job-coaching services
to work individually or in groups in various local
businesses and industries.
Specialized units for individuals with
behavioral
challenges and medical special needs are located at
Hanover.
A center located in Dover addresses the
needs of
individuals who are aging and/or have
medical special
needs.
